- PLI Leadership Project: Implementing Restorative Practices at Locke High School
- For my PLI Leadership Project, I implemented the foundations for a Restorative Practices program at Locke High School in order to reduce suspensions and provide students with a healthy means of resolving conflict
- AIDS Walk 2014
- I coordinated the participation of 50 Locke High School students in the 30th annual AIDS Walk on October 12, 2014. We traveled to West Hollywood and walked 10k in support of AIDS Project LA.
- Teacher Mentor and Support Provider
- I mentored Luis Contreras and Christine Mercado this year, two math teachers at Locke High School. Through observations and coaching sessions throughout the school year, I helped them set and meet instructional goals, as they progressed towards clearing their Single Subject Credential through UCSD.
- Stipend Committee, Academy C Representative
- I represented our school on the Stipend Committee in order to advocate for the equitable compensation and recognition of teachers who undertook leadership roles each year.
- Instructional Leadership Team (Subject Team Lead)
- As a Subject Team Leader on the Instructional Leadership Team, I collaborated to establish and maintain our school's instructional vision, I conducted Professional Development for teachers, I collected and analyzed data that supported our instructional goals, and I provided instructional supervision and support for teachers within my subject team.
- Representative for the Asociacion de Maestros Unidos
- For the past three years, I represented teacher interests, protected staff against contract violations, and facilitated stronger communication between administration and staff as the representative for the Asociacion de Maestros Unidos (the teachers' union for Green Dot).
